Thank you for using Nuita every day.
At Nuita, we have a feature that automatically generates preview cards based on user posts. In this process, we access external content and platforms to retrieve information, and for some platforms we carry out special processing (the implementation is published as a gem).
This is because adult websites very often have interstitial pages such as age verification, and the usual method of grabbing meta tags from the header (the way Twitter or facebook does) can’t obtain the information we need.
The purpose of card previews is to promote encounters between users and content, and the processing described above is carried out for that very purpose (nobody wants to click a link that just says “Age Verification”!). In using external content, we of course respect the scope of “quotation” as defined by copyright law, and out of respect for all content creators and platform operators, Nuita promises the following.
-
We perform age verification the first time a site is used, so that minors (youths aged 18 or under) are never exposed to adult content.
-
We cache site data, including images, on Nuita’s servers as much as possible, to keep the load on the linked-to server as low as we can.
-
Whenever we display retrieved data, we always include a link back to the original content. We never retrieve paid content.
-
We deal strictly with posts from sites that reproduce manga and the like without authorization, and depending on the case we take severe measures such as suspending accounts.
Nuita’s goal isn’t to collect content for its own sake, but rather (just like Google’s search function) to secure a pathway to content and support the creators and platform operators of adult content. Through Nuita and the culture of ejaculation reports, many users have bought works recommended by other users, or have found themselves able to get off to genres they’d never gotten off to before. Nuita will keep supporting this kind of virtuous cycle going forward.
That said, if you’re a content creator or platform operator and would like us to stop generating card previews for your content, please get in touch via our inquiry form or on twitter. We’ll respond as promptly as we can.
